On December 16th, 2024, professors Katarzyna and Piotr Drąg, together with their Polish and international students of intercultural communication, were privileged to welcome to the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow a group from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), as part of a cultural exchange program between the universities. The prestigious Hong Kong university was represented by 20 students and three professors, accompanied by their guide from Czechia. Professors Katarzyna Drąg of UPJPII and Vivian Tam of CUHK each gave a short introduction to their respective universities and faculties.

The students were subsequently divided into small groups to compare the many similarities and differences between Krakow and Hong Kong. Enthusiastic dialogue ensued in Cantonese, English, Polish, Mandarin, and many other languages, after which the results of the discussion were presented in English by students representing each university.

The class concluded with expressions of gratitude from both the universities for their successful partnership. Students and faculty who attended look forward hopefully to a continuation of the program.
